On Monday night the contestants were to choose a personal moment in their life & chose a song that related to the dance along with the type of dance. I personally thought everyone's dance was good & it was an emotional episode as well. The standouts were actor J.R. Martinez & Ricki Lake. J.R. did a very touching tribute to the fallen soldiers who put their lives on the line in Iraq & Afghanistan. He received the longest standing ovation. Ricki Lake is the contestant to beat for sure. She did a tribute to her fiance dancing to the Rumba. It was very sexy & told a story through the dance. The not so great dancers were Chaz Bono & Nancy Grace. Chaz danced to his late father's Sonny Bono's song but he was obviously very stiff. Not sure if it had to do with his bad knees or not but I personally like Chaz. He's very brave to be doing the show. Nancy Grace danced to "Moonriver", a great classic covered by Louis Armstrong & many others. Nancy is not my favorite. I already don't like her, so I wish she gets voted off every week. If she wasn't so damn annoying on her talk show or just annoying period, I would try to put my personal reasons aside but she's just annoying.
Last night was elimination night on DWTS & America always has the last say, despite what the judges think the night before. Mary J. Blige performed & always puts it down. She performed her new single "25/8" and followed with her classic "Real love". Chubby Checker also performed! That was awesome to see the legend perform his classic "The Twist. Then came down to elimination & I was crossing my fingers that Nancy Grace would go home but Kristin Cavallari was sent packing. She wasn't the favorite on "The Hills" but she was a better dancer than many. Not sure why America voted her home, maybe they still think she's a bitch from "The Hills" days. Oh well. My money is on Ricki Lake to take it home. : )
